However, she later described the terrifying moment she felt she would die after catching an infection following her surgical enhancement, which has left her longing for a woman’s body. On the Botched Up Bodies, she broke down in tears as she attempted to repair the extensive scars and damage caused by her stomach and fat-freezing surgeries.
After pouring her heart out on the show, people quickly flocked to Twitter to express their condolences and support. As per the American author, she was raised in a culture where you had to look gorgeous, which inspired her interest in surgery. She went on to say: ‘I was beautiful back then, but I never felt it.’
After being depressed by her boyfriend’s comments about her having boobs but no bum, and her then-husband scolding her for allegedly being fat, the reality TV darling went to the treatment table and didn’t think twice. However, her ambition for a dream body turned into a nightmare when she developed an illness after surgery. She stated she received a four-pint blood transfusion:
There was a pool of blood like you see in the movies. Like when someone gets shot. The blood was spilling out and I was so afraid. I felt my life slipping away.
Following her traumatic ordeal, fans were quick to comment on social media. One commented, “Watching your story on Botched Up Bodies @reneegraziano makes me feel so sad. You’re awesome xx.” Another added:
amazing to see you back on @channel5_tv looking fabulous, raising awareness and being real. #Queen #BotchedUpBodies
Graziano was then forced to relearn how to walk and eat following her traumatic ordeal. She lost 36 pounds and had swollen legs, saying, “There are pieces of my body I feel are never going to get better.” After consulting a London surgeon for the reality show, she stated:
I want to have a woman’s body. I think plastic surgery is an addiction – I was addicted to being beautiful.
Why Did Renee Graziano Get Sued by Her Plastic Surgeon?
Renee Graziano‘s plastic surgeon previously sued her for $77 million, claiming she lied about botching her full-body makeover. Dr. Andrew Klapper claimed his business suffered greatly after she went on television to discuss how she nearly died on the operating table.
He further stated that she had failed to pay the $30,000 cost he charged for the various cosmetic operations. He told The View that she lost six pints of blood while getting a butt lift and tummy tuck. The operation was filmed on the TV show, ‘Mob Wives’.

Graziano visited the clinic in 2011. Soon after, she gave multiple interviews in which she revealed how the surgery nearly killed her. However, Dr Klapper stated in court documents that she had falsely claimed that he nearly killed her during a botched procedure.
His lawyer, Barry Levin, also claimed she has pursued a vendetta against his client, including filing a fraudulent report with the state board that licenses doctors. He further alleged the author made a false assertion that he never told her of the surgery’s hazards.
Levin’s case, filed in Brooklyn Supreme Court, alleges that no action was taken against Klapper. It was also reported that Graziano never paid the surgeon, despite her claims that the treatment cost her $30,000. The lawsuit also sought damages from Graziano’s sister Jennifer’s production firm as well as VH1 and The Weinstein Co.
