Maggie Pocock (b. March 9, 1968) hails from Camden, London. She was born to parents Caroline Philips and Justus Adebayo Aderin. In North London, she attended LA Sainte Union Convent School. She has dyslexia, and when she told her teacher as a child that she wanted to be an astronaut, she was advised to try nursing because it is also scientific. She completed four A-Levels in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology.
