Cline began her acting career in 2009, appearing in minor roles in movies and TV shows such as 23rd Psalm: Redemption, The Jury, and Boy Erased.
In 2016, she had a recurring role in the series, Stranger Things, as Tina, and later appeared in shows like The Originals, Maid to Order, and Savannah Sunrise. However, her breakthrough role came in 2020 when she was cast as Sarah Cameron in Outer Banks.
Cline has also appeared in several films, including Miles, The Giant, and Once Upon a Time in Staten Island. In addition to acting, she is also a model and has worked with brands like Next Models and Wilhelmina Models.

Madelyn Cline’s Weight Gain: The Outer Banks Started Gaining Weight as Soon as She Was Aware of Her Misconception of Getting a Desirable Look!
Weight gain usually leads people to face a lot of criticism about their appearance. It’s very rare when your body actually fits with your weight gain and people rather admire your body shape. In the same way, Madelyn Cline (@madelyncline) is among the people who have impressed many viewers after gaining the right amount of weight. The Outer Banks cast looks absolutely stunning now. However, it wasn’t the same always.
As mentioned earlier, Medelyn used to be very thin previously. She has been in the acting field for the last 14 years. Of course, people have noticed her appearance over a period of time. As of 2023, the Sarah Cameron actress looks completely fit and fine. People can’t believe she is the same person who was very thin during the early days of her career.
However, it turned out that her body was never meant to look thin. It was Madelyn Cline’s own doing that lead her to lose a significant amount of weight. In 2020, she revealed that she previously struggled with an eating disorder and over-exercising in her her teenage years. She told,
When I was younger I did struggle with eating disorders, specifically when I was a teenager. I think I was around 16 when I started working out a lot. I would wake up every morning at 5 a.m. and I would work out for 30 minutes. It was super rigorous cardio every day.
She started restricting her diet after failing to get the desired outcomes or body type. She added,
I started cutting calories. I would eat like six almonds for breakfast because I didn’t want to counteract the cardio that I just did. It turned into not feeding myself protein and not feeding my body what it needed when I was working out so much. I worked out multiple times during the day. All I knew was I wasn’t achieving a particular body image, and so I was angry. I was harming myself and starving myself in the process of trying to achieve that.
Madelyn Cline also claimed it was a terrible time to be a teen idolizing a certain, unachievable body type. She eventually came to the conclusion that “there’s nothing wrong with you, you’re just not built that way, and that’s perfectly fine” with the support of her family. And it seems she started her weight gain journey at that right moment by just unfollowing her previous diet, workout routine, and mentality.
We also have to mention her mother who was very important to her healing. She explained, “My mom was a wonderful help in that. She would stand there in the mirror with me and we would list out things that I liked about my body. After that repetition those things became solidified in my mind. I like my curves, I like my hips, and after a while I started to love my body. I became so much happier.”
Madelyn Cline is the perfect example of why you should never force yourself in order to achieve something with very little knowledge and research.
