On March 23, 2022, Letitia Dean returned to the BBC‘s soap opera as OG character Sharon Watts, looking very different from what viewers were used to. The 55-year-old was praised on social media for her radiant and gorgeous transformation after undergoing two stone of weight loss without consuming any types of diet pills or surgery. Meanwhile, the actress forewent junk food favoring a balanced diet rich in vegetables and chicken.
The actress was one of the originals on the show when it first aired, and she was only 17 years old at the time. Letitia previously discussed how she was subjected to constant criticism about her body image, which harmed her self-esteem and contributed to her breast reduction as a teenager. I went from a size 14 to size 10 and I’ve never looked back. I started going to the gym for the first time last year and now I’ve grown to love it – running and boxercise are now my favourite things. I lost weight the good old-fashioned way, through dancing and exercise – I didn’t starve myself or resort to some crazy fad diet.
