Despite John calling the redhead his “misses,” the two spent 13 years together without getting married. Charlie had a brief relationship with Ground Force crew member Andy Simmons, the microphone operator, which caused their separation in 2001.
But, the relationship fizzled out, and Charlie went on to date sound technician Barry Smith, another member of the show’s crew. She told The Daily Mail that she didn’t have any regrets once it was revealed that Charlie had an affair with Andy. She told,
We’ve talked to each other a few times since we broke up. I don’t see Andy any more, but I don’t regret what happened. You wouldn’t do anything if you kept worrying about what might go wrong.
In 2016, when asked about her romantic life, Charlie Dimmock told the Independent that she has no plans to ever get married.
